This was too funny... We took the blankets off the yearlings to give them a good brush (winter hair is actually starting to come out!!!), and to let them run around "in the nude" for a bit this weekend. They kept looking for their blankets-couldn't figure out what was missing!

Yeah, these 2 are literally attached at the hip. I like having at least 2 babies so they can have a buddies to grow up with, but these 2 have been especially close. It's always hard to see them grow up and have to separate. Do you think they remember each other?.....

Wow - that's quite the series of pictures. You should send those in to the APHA, or enter them in a contest or something. Too cute!

That's what I was thinking too, Leslie! Too cute! Are they colts or fillies?

The sorrel is a colt (see more of his pics under the "chit chat and all that" forum, 2007 APHA performance prospect for sale), and the grulla is a filly, by APHA champion Gay Bar Drummer, and out of our AQHA Major Bonanza Mare. We think she's something else! Here are a few pics of her...

These 2 buddies continue to forge a strong bond They were separated while Van Goh became a "man", and then an "it" but have been reunited, and spent the summer growing up in our big back field. It will be hard-and a little sad to see them have to grow up and away from each other...

I can hardly wait for the filly to get started! In these pictures, she had "trapped" our border collie down by the creek, and was trying to "cut" her to keep her from coming up the bank.
