Does anyone do any scrapbooking?
I have over 1000 digital photos on my computer and need to edit and unload them. What's the best way (and cheapest) to get them printed into picture format so that I can get them into scrap books? -------------------- We must never be afraid of going too far, for success lies just beyond.

Probably the best price you'll find is 19 cents each. Best way is to put them on CD's (which you should have anyway) and take them to a photo lab. Lots of labs have online sites that you can upload them and order, but it takes longer.

Well, I'll give my employer a plug and say Shoppers Drug Mart. If you get over 50 prints, they're 19cents instead of 29cents. Costco is probably that price too. And maybe Superstore. Whatever you do, don't do the 'Prints in Minutes' type. These are the type of kiosks that have built in printers, as opposed to the kiosks that send the pictures over to the main lab to be printed. It is usually one hour service but can be less or more depending on how busy it is.
Hope this helps -------------------- What is the point of assuming the worst, getting stressed, overwhelmed, and pessimistic, when the real thruth is that the end result is unknown?

Awesome ... Shopper's is just a bike ride away.
My cousin works for Shopper's Drug Mart .. I think she organizes new stores all over the province. I haven't seen her forever ... I'll have to look her up. One more question ... okay, I am going to burn the pictures to CD then take them to get printed. Does the size matter ? What size should the picture files be? I have small (240x320), medium(640x480), large(1280x960) or full size choices. They all say 52 KB -------------------- We must never be afraid of going too far, for success lies just beyond.

I got this all figured out and the pictures are burned to CD ready for printing. I want to take a bunch of photos up to Chad and Laryssa in Prince Rupert .. especially the ones of Chad when he was a baby
For an anniversary present to ourselves, Dave and I purchased a VCR / DVD player. We haven't had a VCR player for quite sometime as everything is DVD these days. It was a concern to me that we had Video tapes of the kids early birthday parties, vacations and stuff, with no way of watching them. I bet that soon people won't even be able to purchase a VCR. This new machine will play the VCR as it records the information on a DVD. I am really looking forward to having the video tapes saved in DVD format. -------------------- We must never be afraid of going too far, for success lies just beyond.
