Hi Everyone,

I've decided to ease myself back into teaching lessons.
I will be available to book small groups of riders at private barns in the lower mainland.

If you have the use of an arena, and want to gather a few friends together for half a day or so, I'll be willing to come out.

If you don't have the above, email me and I will try to add you to a local group.

cheers,
Lynda rolleyes.gif

That's great Lynda. Glad to hear you're going to fit that back in your life. You have so much to offer riders and their horses. smile.gif

Wow Lynda - this is just in time for me! I have had a request for an instructor in Maple Ridge - I will be passing your contact info along biggrin.gif

Funny - you are easing back in and this is my last year! I am retiring so I have more golf/boating time with my husband wink.gif

Thanks for all the replies and emails about lessons.
It'll be good to pull myself out of *retirement* as I miss teaching both people and horses. smile.gif

Have you been back at it yet, Lynda? How's it going?

Hi Sheena,

Yes, I headed back to teaching on Monday this week.
My first lesson was with a new client. Becca's a very keen and talented youth who plans to excel at Freestyle Reining. She lives in Maple Ridge/Whonnock with her own indoor and outdoor arenas surrounded by several gorgeous Paint horses.

On Tuesday I went to Lynda Holland's arena to work with her, her daughter Lisa, and Judi Williams. It's been a lot of fun working with the ladies again. The horses weren't as happy though, they all groaned when they saw me walk down the drive way.

Yesterday, I was back at Lynda's with 4 riders, adding Sherea to the pack. After the group lesson, I went out to Becca's for her second session.

the funny thing is ....

I was chating to an old client and she wanted me to do a small clinic, at her home arena in Maple Ridge. Eventually ... I agreed. She was SO excited. She was going to call me in a few days to set up the dates.

I COULD NOT relax or even think about sleeping ...
Here I had a agreed to do a clinic and start teaching again without telling all my regular MSR people. What if the word got out !! ohmy.gif before I had a chance to tell everyone what I was up too !

I hurried home and posted this topic that night ...
Lots of emails and calls came in from people who wanted to get back into lessons. (Most further than I want to travel sad.gif )

You guessed it though ... NOT ONE WORD from the original retirement-breaker-instigater ... go figure ?!?!

I am happy to be back, and I'll do just enough teaching to stay that way. biggrin.gif

Well they say people come into our lives for a reason, right? Maybe you just needed that kickstart. smile.gif

I am planning on attending a 4 1/2 day Josh Nichols clinic with Jones and I can tell you, I am looking forward to that! So Lynda it doesn't surprise me that your former student/clients are excited to have you back in action.

Enjoy yourself!
